What you are looking at
Stamped patterns pressed into fresh concrete, integral and release colour, acid-stained surfaces, exposed aggregate and textured finishes, on patios, walkways, pool decks and driveway aprons.
There is no second pass
Stamping happens in one window. The slab has to be at the right stage - firm enough to hold the impression, soft enough to take it - and the whole area has to be worked before it moves past that point. That is why a stamped job is planned around crew size and weather in a way a broom finish never has to be.
Colour is a two-part decision
Integral colour goes into the mix so it runs all the way through the slab. Release colour is worked into the surface during stamping and gives the variation that makes a pattern read as stone rather than as concrete. Most of what you see here uses both.
It still has to work as a slab
A decorative surface sits on the same base, carries the same loads and moves with the same clay as a plain one. The pattern does not change what the slab needs underneath it, and a decorative finish over a failing base fails exactly as fast.
