Common questions
Can you pour a deck around a pool that is already installed?
Yes, and most of the decks we pour are exactly that. The shell, coping and equipment are protected through the work.
What finish is best around water?
Something textured. A broom finish or a textured stamp keeps grip when the surface is wet; a smooth trowel finish does not, which is why we do not use one around a pool.
Will the deck drain away from the pool?
That is set at the estimate and formed into the slab. Water is carried away from the pool shell and away from the house.
