Concrete Coatings & Overlays in Greenville & Upstate, SC
Not every tired slab needs breaking out. Where the concrete underneath is still sound, an overlay or coating resurfaces what is already there - a new wearing surface, a new texture and a new colour, laid over the existing slab.

Common questions
Will an overlay hide the cracks in my concrete?
It will cover them, and if the slab underneath is stable it will stay covered. If the crack is still moving - because the slab has settled or the base beneath it failed - it will come back through the new surface. That is why we look at how the cracks behave before quoting a coating rather than a replacement.
Can you resurface a pool deck?
Yes. Pool decks are one of the most common overlay jobs, because the surface takes sun, water and foot traffic while the slab underneath is often still fine. A textured overlay also gives back grip that a worn surface has lost.
Is an overlay cheaper than replacing the concrete?
Usually, because there is no demolition, no haul-away and no new base. But it is only cheaper if it lasts, and an overlay over a failing slab does not. We price whichever one the slab actually needs and explain why.
How do I know whether I need an overlay or a new slab?
We look at the slab itself: how level it sits, whether the cracks run through the depth or only across the surface, and whether the edges and joints are still intact. A surface problem is an overlay. A base problem is a new pour.
